Por\u00e9m, \u00e9 importante atentar para o fato de que essa radia\u00e7\u00e3o pode causar riscos \u00e0 pele e olhos caso haja uma superexposi\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o controlada, sendo necess\u00e1rio ter cautela com o uso desses equipamentos, pois \u00e9 poss\u00edvel que haja exposi\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 luz ultravioleta no exterior deles enquanto est\u00e3o sendo energizados sem que seja percebido, j\u00e1 que ela \u00e9 invis\u00edvel ao olho humano. A partir da constru\u00e7\u00e3o de planta baixa da sala dos equipamentos de fototerapia ultravioleta do HCPA e levantamento de pontos relevantes nela, pretendeu-se pesquisar e analisar as poss\u00edveis fugas de radia\u00e7\u00e3o no ambiente externo ocasionadas por esses equipamentos.
