Resumo: The Institute of Nuclear Engineering has a radiopharmaceutical production sector that manufactures ultrapure Iodine-123 for medical applications, using the CV-28 cyclotron accelerator. The particle beam is driven to the target sample to be irradiated, that is placed in a own concret cave placed 15 m away from CV-28.
